The integrated CAN interface complies to CANopen (DS 301 and 401). It facilitates a decentralized use in different positions in the automation network. It was made in accordance to ISO 11898 and can be bridged for looping through CAN signals and having several devices in a row.
Signal processing and LEDs
Besides its inputs and outputs our IO devices possess a powerful microcontroller for gathering and controlling sensors, actors and the CAN-data. Safety measures such as Guarding are completely integrated for a maximum of process safety. Visualization of the IO stati is done via LEDs for each IO. The configuration of the address as well as the baud rate is easily handled via DIP switches and can range up to 1 MBit.
